Sidmouth’s record as a premier floral town was confirmed, when it again won Gold Award in the prestigious ‘Britain in Bloom’ competition. It was a just reward for the endeavours of so many across the community to enhance the town in a way that befits its enviable reputation as a resort of distinction.

We see highlights in the showpiece Connaught Gardens. Look out for the magnificent floral peacock in Blackmore Gardens, with fish and sea monsters in other areas of the town.

It is there in the superb displays that adorn hotels and guesthouses, gardens public and private, shops and streets. We see it too, in the colour that tumbles from cottage sill and wall and even the car park surrounds.
